Wilfried Nancy insisted he had no concerns about losing his job, maintaining, “The team is really close to changing our fortunes,” despite moving dangerously close to being fired with a convincing loss to the Ibrox side.

A Second-Half Capitulation Leads to Old Firm Defeat

Nancy’s Persistent Belief

The coach remains focused on the fact the side can perform strongly for a half at a time. “The standard we had at times was of top quality. That is a fact. I wouldn't talk like that if it was different. But that’s why, in terms of results, I mentioned this is the same story. For that reason I said that we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. Currently: the fine margins.”

“There were a lot of encouraging signs that we did, once more. However is consistency. My narrative would be different the same. This is why I am convinced we’re going to be able to fix this.”

Röhl’s Cautious Response

Rangers manager was cautious about a championship push in spite of what appeared to be a statement victory. “Step by step, so we can gradually build something here,” he said. “The confidence in the group is immense.”
