Brassic Ends Its Run with Influenced by Tarantino Finale
The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are bringing the curtain down on their comedy series about a tight-knit bunch of likable chancers running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the finale to be a greatest hits victory lap of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. However, the vibes are distinctly darker as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the gang hole up in a pub with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode seemingly influenced by Quentin Tarantino.

The journey has been lengthy. But the second-to-last episode of this initially sluggish but eventually gripping series about phone hacking sees Nick, portrayed by David Tennant discovering details about the News of the World’s conduct that the rest of the media simply can’t ignore. Things are also looking up for Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.
